Show Notes:
Recorded Tuesday, September 27 2022 (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
“Buffett cancels October dates, a new recording with Zac Brown, and the last concert roundups from August.”

We assure you the misspelling of Jimmy’s name, three minutes in, is entirely deliberate.

Episode 250: Oh It’s Just Nachuh

“It’s our June episode and we got it done just in time! We cover Jimmy Buffett’s latest concerts and Schmoe shares a health update. (Cameo by Kate.)”

Mike wanted to recommend these two articles, but it didn’t make the final cut:

Before Margaritaville: Jimmy Buffett’s Outlaw Country Underground Years at Yahoo.com
and
‘Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes’: Jimmy Buffett’s Classic at UDiscoverMusic.com.

Episode 249: A Solid Number Two

Show Notes:
Recorded Thursday, June 28 2022 (8:30 PM – 12:00 AM)
“It’s our June episode and we got it done just in time! We cover Jimmy Buffett’s latest concerts and Schmoe shares a health update. (Cameo by Kate.)”

The original title was going to be “Schmoe’s Health Woes,” but then we decided to go classy.
Happy birthday to Schmoe. And happy birthday to Jimmy Auquier, the singer and tunesmith of our theme song.
Note: for some reason we had problems with the recording of Schmoe’s audio, thus this episode is monaural.

“We go through the latest Buffett stories and the first six shows of the new tour. (Guest: Debra. Cameo by Kate.)”

I like how the video thumbnail looks like a half-assed Charlie’s Angels pose.

Episode 247: Spring Cleaning

Show Notes:
Recorded Tuesday, March 22 2022 (7:45 – 11:45 PM)

Did you notice this episode grew by a minute eight seconds in an afternoon? I noticed too late that it had been published without my M’ville shrimp review and I sneakily did a quick re-edit and replaced the original file. The video below, and the audio link, now point to the revised version.

A Pleasure and a Hell of an Evening (2021)

Back in August, when we got the surprise announcement of a Michigan show in September, Hud (texting from Florida) had asked “Will it be warm?”  To which I had quickly responded, “It was going to be warm, but then they scheduled a Buffett concert.”
I did not know how right I was.
For the day of the concert, and the day before, we had continual rains and a temperature drop of over ten degrees (Fahrenheit), in the upper fifties. Adding insult to injury, the day after the concert, the sun was out and temps were in the low seventies.
The tailgate was sparse and the pavilion took so long to fill that I was afraid Jimmy would play to empty seats.  He’d take one look at the crowd and vow never to play Michigan again!  Fortunately, the placed fill up just in time, Jimmy played another great show, and the crowd was appreciative and responsive.
I’m still not sure if I have enough footage to make a tailgate video, but I’ve uploaded my photos to Flickr.

Bonus: TV Commercial

I spent a week, last month, seeing if there was a TV commercial for this year’s show. Little did I know I could’ve just gone to the 313Presents site and found it there…
Note: 313 Presents removed the video from YouTube, but here is an archived copy.
